A Season of Strawberries is a coming-of-age drama with supernatural elements. It is a
powerful story about first love, life lessons, evil forces and faith in God.
A rebellious Angel tempted by mortal flesh comes for the child he once saved but when a
migrant worker opposes his dark agenda a war against mankind begins.

After WWII, Mexican immigrants were employed as farm labor for strawberry fields.
These migrant workers endured dangerous conditions that could result in death. But one
of them appears to perform miracles. Does his power come from the divine? Or does it
come from a darker source?

SHORT SYNOPSIS

Mexican migrant workers discover an unconscious man in a strawberry field. Farmer
Ezra Briggs is vigilant of the stranger but offers Simon a job picking berries for the
season. When Simon is treated better than the other migrant workers, 16-year old Marta
Briggs tries to protect him but he becomes the enemy of her childhood friend, Armando,
and a rival for her affections.

 

After a fight with Armando breaks Simon’s nose, it heals wondrously. Ezra’s wife, Rosa, is convinced that she has witnessed a miracle from God. Days of rain flood the strawberry fields and Simon performs another miracle saving the crops from ruin. Then, the family dog is found dead. A migrant worker dies from exposure to methyl bromide. The men believe in an ancient curse and refuse to work in the fields.

 

When Armando confronts Simon about his false miracles, Simon unleashes a supernatural twister that destroys the Briggs home before he disappears. The season of strawberries ends but the migrant workers stay to rebuild the farm house. Simon returns to claim Marta and reveals his dark agenda as a Fallen Angel. When she goes missing, Armando finds her in the barn with her innocence taken. Armed with a rifle, Ezra and Armando search for Simon who betrayed them.

Transformed by evil, Simon summons a legion of Fallen Angels to join his rebellion
against mankind. But the Prince of the Seraphim, Archangel Michael, and his Angels of
Light come to oppose them. An epic battle of war breaks out in the Heavens. Simon and
his legion are defeated and cast into Hades for all eternity. Armando marries Marta and
drives her to Mexico where she is taken into a monastery to be protected until the time
she gives birth to Simon's progeny, a Nephilim.
